THIS WEEK:
A sharp, pointy, irritant
“Where Are They Now?” My name is Emily and I was born in 1830.
BEHIND THE PAY WALL: Special limited time offers!
Hey. DiPerri / Real Romeo here. That’s right.
This week, let’s take a look at Romeo. That is, if you can stand the sight of him.
If memory serves, Frega wrote this cartoon while we were having lunch at a restaurant. We were seated beside a window and there was a lot of flowers, sunshine, and greenery outside.
As we often did in those days before kids, I believe we were sitting on the same side of the table.
Romeo is based on all of my worst visual and personality qualities — but I am no Romeo.
Special thanks, as always, to Seinfeld, for the gifs and the real humor in this week’s post. Had there never been a Seinfeld, there’d have never been a Buddy and Romeo since the real life humor and conversational cadence of Real Buddy and Real Romeo is influenced by the T.V. series.
Bring your friends!
Relive the magic of Emily Dickinson’s 1830 World Tour with our new mug, featuring not one but two cartoons…
And a kiss cut sticker.
