Our second fridge declared its independence from us last night — by no longer working. I can’t say we’re happy for it.
The fridge is 10 months old. At the time of its declaration of independence, it was full of treasures from costly shopping sprees at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods the day prior. If the fridge would kindly get back to work at no further expense to its owners, we’d greatly appreciate it.
THIS WEEK:
Buddy and Romeo are all alone!
WHERE ARE THEY NOW? A CartoonStock wish
BEHIND THE PAY WALL: New comic drawings + DiPerri pitches his first New Yorker covers
If you’ve been around here a while, you know we’re making a Buddy and Romeo holiday book. That means, each holiday, we post cartoons that hardly have anything to do with said holiday because we’re saving the cartoons that are actually about the holiday for the book. New comics are still being drawn and the book, Buddy and Romeo: Alone for the Holidays, is expected to release this fall! Join us behind the paywall for uninked pencil drawings from panels of some of the new comics that were drawn last week!
This week, in honor of Independence Day, Buddy and Romeo are all alone.
A bold declaration!
Shared commemoration!
Speech! Speech!
