Today marks 13 years since Frega and DiPerri’s serendipitous first meeting! We fell in love that Christmas and, a few months later, we created a greeting card line to commemorate our meeting. Coffee Lovers’ Christmas celebrates those things we hold dear — coffee, love, and Christmas!
Though Frega and DiPerri’s first meeting went terribly right, this week, we’ll look at some Buddy and Romeo first meetings that go terribly wrong.
But first…
This is the last week for online Coffee Lovers’ Christmas orders to ensure timely delivery. Check out what’s new for 2024…
By popular request, our top selling design “Coffee Pot Snow Globe” is now available on a mug. With two sizes to choose from (11 oz or 15 oz. 15 oz. is pictured), something hot in this beautifully illustrated cup will surely start you off each day merry and bright!
Our 5”x7” greeting cards continue to be the centerpiece of the collection. With 19 different designs between our First Cup and Second Crack series, these charming cards are sure to delight givers and recipients alike.
Pictured above are three of our newest designs. “City Date” and “Santa’s Nap” were added last year and have since become two of our top sellers (“Snow Globe Coffee Pot,” which debuted in 2021 is number one). “Special Order” (at center) is new for 2024 and has already proven popular this season.
We’ve had various sized framed prints available online for the last few years but this year marks the first time they have been available in person. The four illustrations pictured above are the only online options but more are available in person. If you’re interested in a specific design at a specific size for a framed print, just send us a message and we’ll set it up for you.
Finally for new additions in 2024, you can now get another popular design, “Reindeer Rooftop Coffee Break” on a mug. This is a special edition as we converted the vertical art into a horizontal and added a coffee ring crescent moon, which was not part of the original image.

Now for some true stories. Most of these failed introductions paved the way for DiPerri to finally say and do enough of the right thing to ensure Frega didn’t run the other way on that first fateful day!
Join us behind the paywall for three more lost cartoons — and commentaries!
