THIS WEEK:
Ending the year by ending the evening
WHERE ARE THEY NOW: DiPerri works out on the cover of Funny Times
BEHIND THE PAY WALL: More bad dates

If you’ve been around here a while, you know we’re making a Buddy and Romeo holiday book. That means, each holiday, we post cartoons that hardly have anything to do with said holiday because we’re saving the cartoons that are actually about the holiday for the book.
So Happy Early Christmas! Are you keeping your wits about you? You can look forward to cartoons that are actually about Christmas when the book comes out next year. Speaking of next year, this is our last post for 2024 as next week is Christmas (which we’re taking off) and the following Wednesday is actually January 1st. My word!
So as we bid farewell to 2024, join us as Buddy and Romeo bid farewell to their dating lives.
We’re told the January/February 2025 issue of Funny Times is in the mail. We haven’t received our copy yet but we were surprised (and amused) to learn that I, DiPerri, am on the cover.
This is real.
I turned 40 a few months ago and one of my personal goals for 2024 was to get into Men’s Health.
As an illustrator. Obviously...
It didn’t happen but it’s still a goal. Having an article teased on the cover of Funny Times in this comedic manner is pretty great too though. Check out FunnyTImes.com for the latest issue.
Since it’s Christmas, we’re taking next week off. Wishing you and yours a merry holiday. Enjoy the Coffee Lovers’ Christmas playlist on Spotify!
If you’re enjoying yourself at Buddy and Romeo’s expense so far, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. You’ll get exclusive comics and commentaries; behind-the-scenes drawings and project developments; and access to this entire Substack archive. Plus, the more coffee we drink, the more we’ll create.
